SEX THERAPY
My practice embraces those who are "conventional" and "unconventional" (LGBTQIA2S+, poly, kink, furry, nerd, geek, mystical...). I will help you rediscover lost parts of yourself and guide you towards living the most awesome, authentic, and sexually-fulfilling life possible, free of shame, guilt, & conflict.
Areas of Expertise:
Mismatched desires and needs within a couple
Physical sexual pain
Emotional sexual pain
Premature ejaculation
Delayed or impaired orgasm or ejaculation concerns
Embarrassment and anxiety in regards to sexual situations
Porn misuse, sexual acting out, and other problematic sexual behaviors
Erotic conflicts
Concerns over what is “normal”
Interest in alternative sexual lifestyles, including BDSM/kink/poly/non-monogamy/furries
The title of “sex therapist” is not protected in the majority of states (with the exclusion of Florida) which means anyone can call themselves a sex therapist even if they have no specialized training in this area. I am one of a growing list of AASECT-certified sex therapists in the country. AASECT certification ensures that sex therapists have the level of training, education, and supervision required to provide competent care.
So, what kinds of things can we work on together?
Through working together, you will:
Discover the physical, mental and emotional factors contributing to your struggle and how you can overcome them
Be supported in a safe, confidential environment
Have the opportunity to transform your relationship to your sexuality and create a healthy, intimate sex life
Individuals and couples often come to my practice after feeling pathologized or marginalized by other clinicians. Most clinicians are well-meaning but due to discomfort, misunderstanding, or lack of education may have difficulty discussing sex and pleasure in a candid and open manner, devoid of shame and judgment. In our work, you will feel supported around all of your sexual fears, concerns, desires, hopes, and fantasies.
